Onsite Paving, Sealcoating and Maintenance provide both new installation and removal of curbing, slabs, sidewalks, bollards, and ramps. We ensure that all concrete work will blend seamlessly with your new or resurfaced parking lot.
Curbing:
Concrete curbing prevents vehicles from entering protected areas and holds the landscape in place. There are different types of curbs and these types are as follows:
- Curb – this is a free standing curb
- Curb & Gutter – This type of curb with a gutter is an effective tool to maintain drainage where grades are relatively flat.
- Integral Curb – this type of curb is used in conjunction with concrete pavement and is normally poured monolithically with the pavement.
- Concrete Center Curb – this type of curb is used mainly to separate opposing traffic.
Slabs:
Concrete slabs are poured for loading docks, dumpster pads, and generators. They are installed by pouring 4-8 inches of concrete with rebar/wire mesh for support.
Sidewalks:
Concrete sidewalks for pedestrians are typically 4 inches thick and are slip resistant due to rough broom finish.
Bollards are used to prevent vehicles from impeding into areas with pedestrians. They also protect storefronts and any other structures a vehicle may hit. Bollards protrude from the ground approximately 4 feet. They can easily be painted or have a plastic cover installed.
